I know this is absolutely terrible, but even with what was probably Microsoft Flight Simulator version 1.1 in the late 80's, all I ever tried to do was fly straight into buildings. I've never been into games. No patience for 'em.
Lyn what a horribly addictive game!! It will have the Americans on this forum tied up in knots. Most of them don't even know where 'eye-rack' or Afghanistan are on a map. Let alone Europe.
ih-ROCK is in the middle east. Afghanistan is...uh...to the east of the middle east. Borders POCKistahn, and is not far from China. One of the little -istans is between Afghanistan and China, but I can never remember which one it is. Tajikistan? I'll resist looking at a map.
Hey, I'm better at this than I thought. Of course, a lot of it was guessing (Gothenberg! Uh, sounds Swedish), and some of the loss was due to my failing memory (Bucharest, Budapest, whatever--LOL!).
On my last guess for Birmingham, England, I made a stab at the middle of the country, and got within 14 miles! WOO-HOO!
I'll keep trying it, then, since so many of you seem to be having fun. Maybe I can dump the plane into the drink and make a big exciting splash or something.
Try a little Absinthe or cooking sherry! I did very well. ( Being a former MC pilot's wife helped). ( Does anyone one know where Minnosoda is? Doesn't seem to be on the map)!
Cad holds helicopter and air craft license's, but still has trouble finding where he's going... Still most people are very friendly when you land in their garden/house to ask for directions... Cad is usually greeted by people waving and shouting...
I hate flying, even when I'm not having bowel spasms, willing the vomit to stay down, and confessing my sins. It's uncomfortable, confining, and BORING! But it's really the best way to travel long distances.
