    My parakeet who I have had for about four years passed away today :( It was so sad, she was so weak this morning she could hardly walk.

    Oh, Polly, I'm so sorry! *hugs Polly* Did you know she was sick? They generally keep a brave face until it's too late to do anything, but that doesn't make it any easier to take.

    I'm sorry, Polly...that's hard. I know you must miss her, after having had her for that long.

    Poor Polly. And poor parakeet too. I hope it's gone to the eternal parakeet fields without too much of a struggle and I hope you will be all right.

    Thank you SO much everyone, the kind words mean an awful lot! I laid Spartacus to rest under a little bush (shrubbery??) outside. My two feline and birdy darlings are doing well. I do not plan on getting another budgie.
