So how do you do this? And how do you get the little icons at the bottom? We should try to get all the great stuff we posted on the other forum transferred over here before we lose it all.

    HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY

Best national anthem in the world.
Even tho' the gaelic part sounds like it's being sung backwards.

You're right--the Gaelic part DOES sound like it's being sung backwards! :rolling: Gaelic is such a weird language. It's not pronounced anything like the way it looks. I used to know a girl with a Gaelic name: Siobhan. It was pronounced shi-VON. // The scenery is gorgeous. Thanks for pictures from one of my ancestral lands. (I come by my temper honestly!)

This is cool! When the third person started to sing, I figured out what was going on and wondered which songs would fit the chord progression. Well, "Hotel California" didn't quite fit, but it was cool anyway. I wonder how long it took them to figure this out? I'll bet it was one of those idle things: he's playing the uke, and the songs just started coming to him, or to the people around him, and an act was born. Stuff like that used to happen spontaneously in college. (I was a music major, back about the time we were killing saber-toothed tigers to use the skins for drum heads.)

I've spent the last half hour trying to meld Sir Paul's 'Let it Be' with 'Waltzing Matilda'. This is too much fun.

A week or so ago, I had a mashup of "Lazy Day" by Spanky and Our Gang and Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" running through my head. It went sort of like "Laaa-zeee day (don't fear the reaper) Just right for lovin' away..." I don't really like "Lazy Day" that much, but it's a song that easily gets stuck in one's head.:boogie:

And no, I don't take drugs!

I'll have to listen to Mr. Anderson later. Mr. Thing is working on the other dining room laptop and is in a foul mood: doesn't want any distractions, resents my recreational computing, etc., etc. He's also doing something that takes up lots of bandwidth, because this laptop is painfully slow. He'll be fine after dinner, and maybe the 'puter will be, too.

Come to think of it, they don't build stone walls like that in North America. I think it's probably Britain.

I liked the scene in "Night At The Museum" where Ricky Gervais gets pissed off at Ben Stiller, gets in his face and says something like, "Oh, we have a comedian here, do we? Think you're funny? Well?!" and poor Ben has to say "no". Mini-lol.

Is Michael Canadian? (When he's not a lumberjack, I mean). Gungas is always Canadian, everyday of his life.
  9.
(i feel so lost in every conversation b/c of my hiatus. this one seems short enough to join in on at this point.
plus, cad, mrsthing, and naughty are on it.. and I recognize them's names and icons!!!! )

    carry on.

Gungasdindin was a long-time member of the forum. He was from Canada, but he was not a lumberjack. He used to do Cleese Art along with MacNerd, and I believe he was a writer as well. He and another member had an argument; unpleasant words were exchanged, and Gungas left.

I wish he'd come back, though. That was a long time ago.
  10.
Yeah. And to think he'd been a member even back on the old forum...
It's too bad. But entirely up to him.
  11.
canadian and NOT a lumberjack? seems strange.

either way, I vote for him to return too.
