He's talking about Malcolm Muggeridge in the bit about religion. He's never forgiven MM (upper class religious commentator twit of the century) for the assault on Life of Brian in the famous debate...
The finger-wagging ass in the mustard jacket is Malcolm Muggeridge, one of the most ridiculed religious philosopher/hypocrites of my time, growing up in the UK from 1958-1967, and the supercilious dick of a bishop is "Mervyn Stockwood, Bishop of Southwark". Draw your own conclusions.
Between them they stood for everything MP justifiably ridiculed in Life of Brian, and therefore attacked John and Michael more in self-defense than anything else.
There's such an intelligent, elegance about him, and he's funny and brave with it. I like Fox news, but it did not offend me. I laughed. I laughed aloud at the Michael Winner comment about the rabbit in the other thread. Doesn't matter who it applied to, I just thought that was a funny comment. I also laughed aloud during the Michael Palin Interview above, I mean, the John Cleese interview. Nicely done. I don't laugh aloud often. I'm more the angry lip blink an eye humor responder.
And for his ability to comment on the complex chsnges in the western world and third world particuarly as they were were manifestided in the social rebellion of the 60's and 70's. Probably his looks and ekegance gave him credance but his perceptions , abilty to express and genius gave he and MP their ability to influence the then troubled society.
Well, I was going to upload a video of him, but Google keeps crashing when I try, so I'll have to do it later. I don't think all his puppets are funny, but Achmed and Walter are great.
