The latest I've heard is that there will be no new forum for the foreseeable future. I'm REALLY pissed off at this, because as much as some of us don't want to be shackled by admins, the new members who've been waiting for eternity to get approved will just have to continue to sit on their hands. I hardly think this is fair to them or to us. I don't know what is going through John's or Garry's minds. Probably nothing. I don't think they give a flying fuck about this forum anymore. I haven't bothered to bother Garry about this as it's not his job anymore, despite the new website guy's insistence that it was Garry who told him not to go ahead with a new forum. I'm trying to restrain myself from giving John a piece of my mind on Twitter and Facebook. I probably won't succeed.
So....
As you were.
UPDATE, 20 January: Feeling better now. I know it's probably not John's or Garry's fault; they may have legitimate reasons for not going ahead with a new forum right now. I just couldn't work around my disappointment the other day. Sorry guys.
No. It's true. I wasn't being funny, and it wasn't me putting myself down. It was someone else putting me down the other day, and that's one of the things said to me. I can't even say anything else about it. I have to go.
Yes Cads with YOU Mrsthing it's ALL fanny's fault...Oh we were meant to whisper and this has come out on the forum!! Carry on everyone, nothing to see here...
"Seasons in the Sun" was from the 70s; "Crimson and Clover" was from the 60s. I know, because I remember the 60s! I was only a kid, and the child of very conservative parents at that. No drugs, no weed, no tie dyed shirts, nuffin. That's how I can remember the 60s.
Anyway, back to the original song:
"To another world (not like the one those cruise ship victims went to), And we'll rely on each other, uh huh ("uh-huh"?) Like one forum member to another, uh huh."
I always thought they were singing "And we will lie on each other, uh huh". Oh, the mondegreens!
Sorry to blow your cover, thumble. I'm sure somebody must have covered those songs in the 80s, and you're still a young man of *cough* 35. Precocious little child you were, learning those songs at the tender age of 5.
I did say "Songs of the 80's as we remember them" so that was my alibi. Bad memory. And you're much more ass-toot at music trivia than this poor old soldier.
