    Tonight!

    Let's party!!!

I'm so happy for him to have gotten through it without dying or anything.
  1.
He should take it on tour more often, and you know what I mean by that statement, don't you?

Oh, god, I bet it's going to appear on twitter again. I didn't say that, John. I meant dick, Dick Turpin. Yeah. Seriously.
  2.
Yes, and once again, your fault, Chris, if his dick gets on twitter. I'm glad I'm not on twitter, or I would be shocked to read all this dick stuff. If we mention it enough, it might become a commonly accepted humor word, much like boob. Right now, it's rather....somewhat of a social menace, much like me. :)
  3.
What I wouldn't give for a good dick right now, though. Oh, cream! I must remember not to make wishes aloud, or they won't come true!

Seriously though - I'm so happy for him. I'd like to see him on the road again. Maybe getting run over by a great big steam roller...but no, I'd be happy to see him on stage again. Hint John. Big fucking hint.

I hope this tour was as good for him as it was for us.

Next meeting: the premiere of A Fish Called Wanda musical in London. How about that?

It's on hld because of the MGM rights or something like that. As I understand, nothing to do with artistic kind of thing.
So it'll probably see the light of day sometime. I will go, that's for sure, although I'm not sure I'll like it.
  5.
    I could maybe go then!

Absolutely! When "A Fish Called Wanda: the musical goes up, I'll be there. And beforehand, I'll be pestering Garry for another forum meet up. It'll probably have its US premiere in NY or CA.

Good idea, Kisch. Hopefully the musical will be ready till we are all alive. Or those forum members who are going to be still alive by then, shall take the coffins and urns of those forum-members who can't wait until the premier, or literally die to (not) watch it.

    LOL @ MrsT & Op!

Me too, MrsT. Exhume me as well, please.

In an old interview John said that originally he had intended to entitle the Wanda movie as Dead Fish. How funny it would be, if we all go to the premier as corpses and skeletons... There would be rows of deceased forum members to watch 'dead fish' musical.
  7.
That's a great idea, and once upon a time, I was a costume and clothing designer, and I can draw it out, stitch it up, and oh what the hell....let's make our own costumes.
  8.
We should reassemble our skeletons to resemble a giant whale!

    .. no?

We'd smell a lot like dead fish, too.

I cannot sew to save my life. I will make a representation of a fish from stuff I find around the house and bring that with me.

  9.
lmao Paute and Zelda - that's the oddest compliment I've ever heard, being sad that someone does not want to have their bones dug up for a premier of a musical.
  10.
They'll think we're celebrating Tim Burton if we go as skeletons. That's okay, too!

LOL. This thread is getting to be very silly. :rolling:

Op, is the book ready? If not, perhaps we should write a sketch about this thread. Fans appear on Wanda premier after their deaths as corpses and skeletons. Or simply just dressed as skeletons, smelling a bit fishy...
  12.
If you want to, you can write a sketch like that.
Keep in mind that the book is quite long already (over 120 pages?...)

Skeleton rips out of his coffin and hole stretching and breathing in a deep breath.
"OH HOW GOOD IT IS TO BE BACK ON EARTH, AGAIN. WHAT'S ON AT THE COLLESEUM TONIGHT", HE ASKES AS HE SHAKES HIS LIMBS LOSE. "OOH IT IS THE MONTY PYTHON GROUP"!
"HELL, NO", HE CRIES AND CRAWLS BACK INTO HIS COFFIN AND PULLS TURF BACK OVER HIS HEAD!
    The end
  13.
    ...

I thought we liked the Pythons. :(

er, yes, we do love the Monty Python... Still. It is funny.

And maybe Zelda meant us by Monty Python group (as a fan group of the Pythons).

Op, if it's not too late, you should insert this one by Zelda (with a comment what it is about. Just a short note that it was inspired by a silly thread where we are talking about the Wanda premier, that we think it won't be ready in the very close future, but hopefully we will be alive when it will have been finally finished. But if not, we want to be there, even if we are all dead by then. And if it happens, at the Wanda premier we'll appear as corpses, skeletons, ashes and urns).
  14.
    no prob Chris.. :)
  15.
    Great, Zelda and Chris!

BY THE WAY, not for the book, but I met Red Skelton when I was a very young girl, and have a photo of that.
