I think it should be a right-hand page, not the inside cover, so you open the book, and that's the first thing you see staring out at you. I know I said 'frontispiece' on FB--but I was mistaken. A frontispiece is a left-hand page. It wouldn't be as dramatic. It should be a right-hand page, the first one.
Well, it could work as the book's first page. Maybe we could use all the surroundings of my Cleese to write some nice (or not-so-nice) messages to the actual Cleese. If you hand-write your nice (or not-so-nice) messages, scan or photograph them and send them to me, I'll be glad to copy/edit them around the head and the body (but mainly around the head) of... that.
