I hate the weather forecast: 3 more days without any sun! It's been raining since Saturday night; today is Tuesday. No sun till Saturday, and even at that, we're supposed to have showers as well.
Thank you everyone for your greetings and iron pill suggestions (although this is months later).
Yes, the iron pills were prescription...my new doctor prescribed cheaper ones, so 'yay'!
I'd been away for so long because of stress and suffering from some major depression. For a couple of weeks there, I seriously think I was suffering from psychotic depression-- starting to get paranoid and have hallucinations, as well!
But I still hate my tummy! First of all, I'm gaining so much weight in it that my boobs are starting to look small =(
And it's always nauseated, whatever I eat.
I actually thought I might be pregnant, but I checked yesterday and I'm not. Stupid stress!
I was doing okay all day until I got home. It was a little thing, but I think with everything else, it set me off. I hate feeling and being this way. I wish I could just be like, "Smile, dammit! You're fine!" and be like, "Okay! That was easy enough!"
Bun, My friends say just "chill". It is life, baby. You are great, funny, sensitive. Life sucks sometimes. Live in your own world. There is always someone better and someone worse. Your problem is that you are a natural. A true spirit. Put on some sexy clothes grab your hubby and have some SEX. Great for the hormones.
(Do I sound like an old person? Who cares. I love b vitamins and synthroid. Feel good and do not watch these skinny girls on E.. they may just be coke heads).
Well, I know how you feel about your tummy making your boobs look small. *puts arm around Bunni's shoulders*
Don't give up hope. Easier said than done, I know. Try to surround yourself with people who like you and affirm you. Keep trying different meds and diets; you'll find one that works eventually. And don't commit suicide until you're at least 2 years post menopause. I feel tons better than I did in my 20s and 30s. Really.
Yeah. Yes, get your ovaries out! That should work! Oh, no, wait! That is not what Mrs T meant. I think it as encouragement to not give up until you are dried and wrinkled...Then you will , sniff you will, feel a whole lot better. sniff, sniff, bwaaaayyyy~
No, my friends who've had hysterectomies (both of them) have aged a lot faster than I have. I think you need those parts for things other than having babies.
I don't drink and I still have to go! I seriously under-drink. I'm surprised I survive with how little I drink. I basically drink at dinner and that's all...I sure did use the word "drink" a lot...it seems to have lost it's meaning...
Bunni, drink more. Dehydration causes a lot of problems, even messing with your head. The totally wrong thing about dehydration is that *you don't feel thirsty*. Not even on the verge of passing out.
6 8oz glasses isn't that much. 8 oz is about what the smallest glass in a standard set holds.
Yes, especially in high humidty areas. Do not forget the bannana's, or is that carrots? Get your potassium. Dehydration! It makes your arms and legs itchy and jittery. The top of your head wants to fly off. Grab it, go get some oarnge juice and your hubby will think your swell...or is that swollen. Damn those adjectives.
I'll come right out and say it: I hate Memorial Day! I hate singing patriotic songs in church, even if they do mention God. I hate pretending that US soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan or in any other place in the world are fighting for my freedom. They're not. They're fighting and dying for fucking Halliburton. I hate all the nationalism being excused as "patriotic". I hate assholes in pickup trucks with flags all over them driving all over town blasting fucking Toby Keith music! I hate the way everybody goes around with their eyes closed to the awful truth that no war since WWII was fought for American freedom. They've been fought for American dominance. I hate the propaganda. I hate the hypocrisy. I hate everything about Memorial Day!
Since I'm in education, I'm not getting a raise next year, but everything else is going up (gas, electricity, rent), so we moving to some ghetto apartments down the street. That's fine, though, I'm not worried about the type of neighborhood it is. I'm just irritated that we have to move and that we don't have people that will help, so we need to pay for movers.
I also hate what they are doing to education down here. They're making it horrible to be an educator. And the student loan companies should grant us an extended payment plan or some sort of break considering that a lot of us got degrees in education and can barely afford to pay those debts now.
I feel sorry for anyone who is in public school for the next 6 years (at least).
I feel sorry for you Bunni, and for the other teachers, and students... Things are bad here, and we don't even have student loans to factor in (tuition is pretty reasonable in Israel compared to you guys...). Considering how crucial and significant education is, it's a real travesty.
Zelda: You're absolutely right-- it's been bad for a while. People don't realize that in a lot of places, there are already 35 students a class (once you get past 25, quality goes downhill...but once it's past 30, things start going crazy) and that it'll soon be over 40 students.
I honestly would make my child home school or go to a private school if I were a parent right now.
Op: Yeah, it's pretty bad. I pay over $300/month on student loans and it's going to raise soon (I, ignorantly, went on a graduated repayment which means every two years I pay more on a loan...it'd be okay, if I wasn't getting the same pay). And I'm lucky because I only had to pay $5000 out of my first degree (I was lucky enough to get grants before). Most people are faring far worse.
Makes me want to punch a state legislator in the face!
If only you'd let your president try and reform some things, like health and education, without panicking from the mere idea of anything remotely socialist, maybe you'd be able to see some positive changes... (Obviously I don't mean you in particular, Bunni :) )
It's partly Obama's own "I don't have to deal with this childish nonsense" attitude, and the Republicans throwing a 3-year tantrum. He *shouldn't* have to deal with it, but he *does* have to, or he'll accomplish nothing.
The media is at fault for some of it, too. Last week, the stock market lost about 5%--not a big deal, but the news outlets were talking it up as if it was the next Great Depression coming through the door. Which I'm sure only fueled people's fears and resulted in panic selling off. 5% is nothing; a minor correction. Just before Obama was elected, the stock market lost 22% in one week, and we've recovered most of that. But with the media talking it up like it was a crisis, the Republicans took their chance to throw gas on the fire, saying President Obama was driving the country to ruin as a result of his poor economic policies, blah blah blah.
He should address the comment, and clarify for the public his view of the situation. But he just ignores those stupid comments, which any private citizen should, but he's not a private citizen, and he needs be more "transparent" in what he's doing. Tradition hold that nobody from the incumbent's party runs against him or her, so if Obama loses, we get a Republican again. And they're even more bat-shit crazy than they were in 2008.
